June is here, playoffs just around the corner

The calendar has officially flipped to June which means the Ontario Junior B Lacrosse League playoffs are just around the corner.

Two teams continue to lead the way in the standings - both remain undefeated with the post-season just days away.

In the West, the Six Nations Rebels sit at a perfect (18-0), while the Akwesasne Thunder remain tops in the East at (15-0-2) 

So as the rest of the teams jockey for playoff positioning, here's how things look over the final days of the regular season. 

The Rebels Kalem Powless leads all scorers with 87 points, while the goal scoring race could be decided on each team's last games of the campaign.

The Thunder's Alex Delormier, Owen Sounds' Colton  McKeachnie and Hamilton's Dustin Sparkes all sit at 39 goals. Guelph's Ben Morton is the top assists leader with 55. 

Between the pipes, Halton Hills Connor Upshall has the best goals against average at 5.45, while Xavier Delormier of the Thunder sports the league's best save-percentage at .860. Goaltending Stats brought to you by Boddam Lacrosse.

The St. Catharines Athletics powerplay continues to roll, clicking at 52.1-percent, and the Kahnawake Hunters feature the league's best penalty kill, at 83.6 percent. 

The regular season wraps up on Monday June 15.
